As I study the Old Testament more, I am reminded that it is truly a testament of Christ, and it strengthens my testimony in Him as my Savior and my testimony that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is indeed His church. The gospel is the same from the Old Testament, to the New Testament, to the BOM. This is not the New Testament church restored, it's the Old Testament church -the same gospel since our first parents, since our premortal existence. To draw such an intricate line between these three testament is the work of God.

Priesthood, posterity, and promised land - these are the promise of the Abrahamic covenant. Historically, this is seen very much as temporal. I love that we can see these promises through the eternal lense of exaltation.

Promised land - living with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ in the Celestial Kingdom.

Posterity - being sealed to our family forever, AND the ability to continue raising spirit children throughout all eternity.

Priesthood - all that God has can be ours, we children of God, and if children of God, joint heirs with Christ.

What makes The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints different from other churches? What makes it special?

What makes Abraham and the Hebrews different or special?

Were they more important to God? Did He love them more? They were His chosen people. Does that mean God loves them more then His other children? Didn't other nations worship God and teach truth and goodness?

The answer is that God made covenants with Abraham and the house of Israel, and they were chosen. Not chosen to because they were better than others, but chosen to help others be better. Chosen to bless all nations of the earth through the covenant gospel of The Lamb of God.

When asked what is special about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints the answer is the same.

God does not love us more than His other children, but we are chosen. Chosen to partake of the blessings of Abraham, adopted into the house of Abraham, into the same covenants, so that we can invite others to enter into covenant relationships with God and receive all that He has.

This is what makes this church, His church, different and so very special.
