I heard Brad Wilcox on a podcast yesterday say something to the affect of why do bad things happen to good people? Because they are usually the most ready to learn. When challenges arise, we can choose to be bitter or better. I loved both of these thoughts and want to ingrain them in my personal philosophy.

In a way, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is much like other churches in that it does not possess all truth. However, unlike other churches, we continue to receive the additional truth that God reveals. While most churches possess much good and truth, no church has every piece of truth the Lord has in store. So, the difference is in how much more of what God shares are we willing to accept.

That said, the fullness of the gospel has been restored.

We believe all the God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the kingdom of God.

We listened to the famous song from "Annie" today and the thought occurred to me - while I love the hope found in the sun coming out tomorrow and enduring, The Son is there today. That doesn't mean life will be easy, but perhaps while we wait for tomorrow, we can allow our Savior to sit and wait with us today. We can find comfort in waiting together.

What is a blessing? Anything that brings us closer to God.
