Did you know that Moses 1:39 is the most quoted scripture in General Conference? The entire purpose and mission of our Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, is to bring to overcome death and sin and bring to pass our immortality and eternal life. All their work and effort is aimed at that single objective because we are what matter most to them.

Isaiah 43 beautifully emphasizes this work and glory.

Isaiah 43:13 — Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?

The footnote in this verse reads "let it" as "turn it back". If we replace the words, the last phrase reads "I will work, and who shall turn it back?" Or who should reverse the works of God? Again, what is God's work? Moses 1:39 teaches it is to bring to pass our immortality and eternal life. Think about how amazing this verse is, then, that nothing, or no one, can disrupt or reverse His with. His Atonement is infinite, the greatest power and love ever.

Isaiah 43:16 — Thus saith the Lord, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;

Isaiah 43:17 — Which bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power; they shall lie down together, they shall not rise: they are extinct, they are quenched as tow.

Isaiah 43:18 — Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.

Isaiah 43:19 — Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

Verses 16 through 18 talk about when God, through Moses, parted the Red Sea and buried the enemies of Israel, the Egyptians. This is often referred to as one of the most miraculous acts of power shown by God throughout the Old Testament. And what does the next verse (18) say? Forget about it. Don't even think about it anymore. Why? Because verse 19 says God will do a new work, and it will be impossible to not know or see it. In other words, it will overshadow the great parting of the sea, making it pale in comparison, so much so that we won't even consider the parting miracle any longer. What is this amazing work that everyone will see and will make us forget Moses' pinnacle act? The earth will be renewed, complete it's purpose, and receive it's paradisical glory, becoming the celestial home of God's faithful children, where we live with our Father once more. The amazing work He speaks of in this verse is His work and glory, to being to pass our eternal life, and it is marvelous.

Isaiah 43:25 — I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.

Though we weary or Savior with iniquity, He reminds us that He is the one who makes us whole and blots out our sin through the price He paid - the sum of all sorrows. And He will not remember our sins if we will repent.

Isaiah 43:26 — Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.

And then this beautiful verse! Let us plead together. He is our advocate with the Father. We will not stand alone before the bar of God to represent ourselves. He will stand with us and plead with us. The thought of defending myself in court is scary. The thought of defending myself before Heavenly Father is terrifying because of my uncleanliness. To have the Savior say "I will plead with you"... This brings peace and hope to my soul.
