Moses 6

63 And behold, all things have their likeness, and all things are created and made to bear record of me, both things which are temporal, and things which are spiritual; things which are in the heavens above, and things which are on the earth, and things which are in the earth, and things which are under the earth, both above and beneath: all things bear record of me.

I like this verse, and it's a great reminder to look for Christ in all things and see His hand in our lives. In this same chapter we are commanded to teach our children freely that salvation only comes through Christ. How wonderful is it, then, that we have everything spiritual and temporal to remind us of Him? I'm grateful for this.

When prophets are told to preach repentance, the world sees them as self-righteous and overly pias. A lot of times it is imagined and represented as condemning, telling people they aren't good enough. It is portrayed this way in a lot of modern media, as well. But if we think about how God introduced the Plan of Salvation, it is starkly different than that perception. It's merciful, non condemning. The focus is in the fact that we all will fall short and Christ enables is to be clean if we will repent. Rather than thinking of prophets standing on a platform and telling people they are wicked, I can see them pleading with their brothers and sisters to understand this joyful message that they can take part in the full grace and redemption of a loving Father and a Savior and have joy.
