How to use it
- Open Games and tap Scripture Battleship. On your own plays against the computer. The week of scripture is chosen in the settings line above Play.
- Tap Play, then hide your five passages (5, 4, 3, 3 and 2 verses long). Tap a verse to lay the next passage from there, or tap Hide them for me. Then tap Play.
- On your turn, tap a verse on Its reading and tap Fire in the bar at the bottom.
- A card says whether you hit or missed and shows the verse. Tap Carry on, and the computer takes its shot at you.
- Tap Click to see your board to check on your own passages. Whoever finds every passage first wins.
Good to know
- A passage runs along verses in order, so it can wrap onto the next line and even run through a chapter break.
- When you hit something, try the verses on either side of it.
- Sinking a passage names the whole range, and Read it in context opens a verse in its chapter.
- If you leave in the middle, the game is saved. Tap Pick it back up on the Battleship page to carry on.
