Since the fall of Adam and Eve, we are all in bondage to sin, and the king of the world will not let us go, not by a mighty hand.
19 And I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not by a mighty hand.
20 And I will stretch out my hand, and smite Egypt with all my wonders which I will do in the midst thereof: and after that he will let you go.
Since the fall of Adam and Eve, we are all in bondage to sin, and the king of the world will not let us go, not by a mighty hand. But Christ has stretched out His hands, wide enough to encompass all the sin and pain ever known, and has smitten sin and death with all His wonders that we may be free if we will choose freedom through the Great Mediator of all men.
Pharaoh had a dream that Moses would be born and free the Israelites, so he commanded all the bobby boys under a certain age to be killed, just like King Herod when Joseph and Mary filled to Egypt with their toddler, Jesus.

Pride and Joy (Proverbs 16)
