2 Chronicles 18 has a couple of good examples we can learn from. First, Jehoshaphat did not withhold his help from Ahab and Israel because they did not worship the Lord, but he also did not compromise his standards in the presence of Ahab. He pointed him to a prophet of the Lord. We should do the same and love all of God's children, and we show that love most when we help them find Christ.

Second, Micaiah reminds me of Abinadi. When called before Ahab to prophesy he is admonished to say pleasing things to the king. His response before a powerful man who could, and did, control his temporal fate, shows true faith and obedience "As the Lord liveth, even what my God saith, that will I speak."

Both of these examples teach us hold fast to the Lord and the truth He gives us.
