Proverbs 3 is such a beautiful and instructive verse that points to our Savior and eternal life. It teaches us:
1. Remember the law and love the commandments
2. Engrave truth in our heart
3. Trust in the Lord with all our heart (3rd time the heart is mentioned in first 5 verses)
4. Be humble and acknowledge all the Lord does for us
5. Depart from evil and gain health in the navel and marrow in the bones
6. Give God our best and he'll provide. Trust Him.
7. Correction from the Lord is love
8. Prioritize seeking wisdom and understanding from the Lord above all else
9. True wisdom and understanding is closely related to the power of the priesthood that created the heavens and the earth
10. Wisdom, knowledge, and discretion in the Lord will keep us from being afraid
11. The just will be blessed
12. And more
That's a lot of value packed into 35 short verses. It's important to remember that at the center of all this wisdom is Jesus Christ. Without our Savior, wise words would point towards temporal peace, but the peace out Savior gives us is not as the world giveth - it is just more powerful and impactful.
