God never gives up on us, His children. Despite the Israelites forgetting their covenants over and over again and turning away from the Lord, He remains steady and always ready for their return. In fact, the greatest work of today is gathering Israel. He is doing everything to give us everything. Come home.

Cherrish and I got to be in ward council today this morning, her as the ward activity leader and me filling in for Jeff DeSpain for EQ. I got to share a spiritual thought from this week and went with the brass serpent being destroyed because it became an idol, and we should always put God first.

I then got to lease missionary correlation meeting and the sisters shared how the Lord had prompted them to go to apartments and they didn't find anything, then he prompted two of them (they were in a trio) to go to Target, but they were unsure until they both started they had the same promoting. They were promoted to go talk to an employee but he wasn't interested at all. One was then prompted to walk into Target, walk across the store, then exit the other door. As they did, they had a few conversations with different people and then finally excited the other side. A man was crossing the street and one of the sisters told him Jesus loves him, which turned into a beautiful conversation, they have him a BOM, and he said he wanted to come to church. Because of their exact obedience to the Lord, they crossed paths with this man who had been prepared at the exact time he was there. Had they trusted their own knowledge and not obeyed strictly, they would have missed him.

When I was driving home, I saw a youth from church walking his flat bike and I happened to have my bike rack on, so I got out and was able to help. But after loading his bike, his dad called to him because apparently he was still there (we were a couple hundred feet from the building. So we unloaded and he went with his dad, but it was a good opportunity to help.

When I got home, Nicholas threw a paper airplane onto the roof and I happened to be moving my stick clip, that I left in the car from the day before, to the garage. Because I had that, I was able to get his plane down easily.

We may not always have the tool necessary, but we should always stay close to the Lord so we might be ready to respond and serve when the need arrives.
