Josiah, through his work to restore the temple, found the book of the law. When he read it he wept and rent his clothes because the previous kings had not followed the law but lead Judah into idolatry and abominations. He then cast out idolatry.
This is a great example of gaining further light line upon line through performing righteous works. When we do good, we increase our ability to hear Him.
