Those who have faith in the Lord believe that what He says is true, whether by His own voice or by the voice of His prophet (D&C 1:38).
Exodus 9
20 He that feared the word of the Lord among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses:
21 And he that regarded not the word of the Lord left his servants and his cattle in the field.
Those who have faith in the Lord believe that what He says is true, whether by His own voice or by the voice of His prophet (D&C 1:38). That belief motivates action, and that action leads to safety, blessings, and joy. Those who listened to His word, who held to the Iron Rod, were saved. Those who did not, perished. He is mighty to save. We have our agency to get and stay in the ark, to choose liberty and eternal life through the great mediator of all men or to choose captivity and death according to the captivity and power of the devil (2 Nephi 2:27).
