Hand the phone to a child without handing over everything. Kids Mode narrows the app to Come, Follow Me and Games, and a four-digit PIN keeps it that way until a grown-up turns it off.
How to use it
Tap your initials in the top-right corner to open your account menu.
Tap Kids Mode.
The first time, choose a four-digit PIN, then type it again to be sure.
The home screen now shows only Come, Follow Me and Games.
To turn it off, open the account menu, tap Kids Mode and enter the PIN.
Good to know
Kids Mode is set per device: turning it on for the tablet does not lock your own phone.
It also hides the week's Insights thread and the family's study notes, and takes away Log out and restoring a backup.
The PIN is a gentle lock for little hands, not a strong one.
